CyberGhost left me with not a ghost of a chance of acceptable speed. It was screamingly bad. I finally settled on a VPN that I don't think is mentioned here: WindScribe, which when reviewed elsewhere seems to get high marks for quality of service, anonymity, etc. It offers a restricted free service but from time to time, also comes up with some good deals for those who've registered with it as a free user.
