I love McConnell's section on what to do when the unexpected happens, because it will happen. While this book didn't really help all that much so far, it did reinforce most of the things I learned while taking doggie classes. It also gave me a few new ideas, but didn't really address what to do when the trigger is outside of your control. I can't really remove Kirby from thunderstorms when they happen. Nor can I really simulate them on a lower level.though I might try a recording of thunder.

Or maybe I could just always give Kirby a treat if he does something constructive after a clap While this book didn't really help all that much so far, it did reinforce most of the things I learned while taking doggie classes.
