Step Order and place the 6050 speakers and subwoofer. The front speakers and subwoofer should be placed immediately around the television and receiver system of the home theater system. The two surround speakers should be placed facing outward, at least 10 to 12 feet in front of the theater system. Step Measure and cut wires running from the speakers to the receivers and then strip both ends of each wire. Use two strands of wire, both white and black in color, so it is easier to differentiate between positive and negative during hookup. Typically white wires are used for positive terminals and black are used for negative.

Connect the speaker wires to the back of the speakers and the subwoofer Step Run the wires from all speakers and the subwoofer to the back of the receiver. Disguise the surround speaker wires by running them along a wall if possible and tuck them either under the carpet-to-wall seam if the room is carpeted, or along the molding if you have wood or tile flooring. Step Connect all wires to the corresponding jacks on the back of the receiver system. Once the connections are all made, power up the 6050 to test it out.
